We have already raised £3000 for the Bodmin Rotary's new Brighter Future Fund!
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Bodmin Rotary Club a small group of our members aged over 70 decided they would walk along the Camel Trail from Bodmin to Padstow to raise money for the Brighter Future Fund. The walk took place on a rather wet and windy 21st June but all walkers successfully reached their destination and people generously donated to a Virgin Money Giving page a staggering £3000 + to reward their achievement.
The walkers were Rotarians Peter Melmoth, Peter Old, John Ridgeway, and Allan Foad and guest walker Balu Madhvani. The support crew were Sharon Ife (and her dogs), Su Tune and Steph Holmes.
Our grateful thanks to the walkers, crew and all the people who donated to help us support and encourage Bodmin’s youngsters.
We are already working on the first projects that we will be supporting with these funds and will be sharing that news very soon.
